A dining concept established over 30 years ago as an upgrade of the traditional American Grill, The Grill on the Alley restaurants remain a top choice for ‘power lunches’ and executive dining. The remodel of this Westlake, CA location was intended to attract a slightly younger clientele while still maintaining a prestigious and sophisticated atmosphere. Primarily through the use of dramatic paint color on the walls and soffits, a major transformation was achieved without any modifications to the architecture or seating layout. The existing bar was enhanced with a new leathered finish stone bar top as well as aged brass metal mesh inlays in the bar die and back bar structure. Along with repurposing a selection of the existing framed art, new boothwork upholstery, tables, chairs and decorative lighting collectively work to create a contemporary upscale vibe. The resulting design makes Grill on the Alley Westlake a fresh new dining destination that retains the essence of the original steakhouse concept.
