After moving into a new production facility in Los Angeles, Kairak, a manufacturer of unique and innovative commercial refrigeration systems for restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, stadiums and airports needed a lobby that would represent the rapidly growing brand and make an impression with visitors and prospective clients. Upon entering the building visitors are immersed in a clean, modern design that features a wall of maple wood veneer paneling placed between ribs of stainless steel with a simple Corbusier inspired waiting bench at its base. Overhead are floating panels of shaped perforated stainless steel that create a sense of a ceiling while acting as an acoustical baffle. The floor consists of an inlaid decorative rug surrounded by absolute black granite. The end result is a space that enhances Kairak's reputation as a cutting-edge developer of new innovative technologies.
