Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks the beautiful Hanalei Bay on the north shore of Kauai. Located in the resort community of Princeville, this 22 acre tropical paradise features gardens and flowers, waterfalls, cascading pools, and access to one of Hawaii's most beautiful secluded white sand beaches. Severely damaged by fire, the resort public areas – arrival, reception and lanai were brought back to life with a new design aesthetic evoking the feel of a Hawaii from an earlier era- swaying palm trees, rushing waterfalls, a tropical paradise. Custom wood carvings adorn massive columns and beams supporting the arrival porte cochere. Walls of lava rock create backdrops for new seating areas and lush vegetation. Decorative lighting casts a warm glow and creates a sense of intimacy in semi-private lounge areas. Arriving guests are greeted by a glowing wall of blue tile and warm slats of wood installed to recreate the outline of Hanalei Bay behind the reception desk. The design is harmonious with the gorgeous backdrop of thousand foot-tall waterfalls set against the green mountains and magnificent view of Hanalei Bay.
